Deploying Applications in Spatial Hosts
Overview
Deploying geospatial applications in Spatial Hosts is a breeze, whether you are launching a basic ArcGIS Enterprise instance or configuring a complex multi-node deployment. This guide walks you through the step-by-step process to set up, deploy, and manage your application infrastructure efficiently.
Step 1: Select the Application
- Login to the Platform.
- Navigate to Resource Groups and select one.
- Click Deploy Application.
- Select ArcGIS Enterprise or another app.
- Choose the version (e.g., 11.5).
Step 2: Define the Architecture
- Choose between Single Machine and Multi-Machine.
- Configure additional options if multi-node is selected.
Step 3: Configure DNS and Networking
- Enter a domain prefix (e.g.,
portal-demo
). - Review the full DNS name that will be generated.
- Select private or public access.
Step 4: Set Region and Disk Options
- Select the deployment region (e.g.,
us-east-1
). - Set disk space allocation (e.g., 100GB).
- Enable backups if needed.
Step 5: Upload and Apply Licenses
- Upload your ArcGIS license file.
- Confirm license type (Standard/Advanced).
Step 6: Set Admin Credentials
- Provide admin username and password.
- Add optional team email for alerts.
Step 7: Configure Data Store
- Choose data store type (Relational, Tile, etc.).
- Name your geodatabase.
Step 8: Review and Deploy
- Review all settings.
- Click Deploy to launch the system.
